Ikumi (she/her) became a Certified Postpartum Doula in 2020.  She lives in Hillsborough, NC with her husband and three children.  She was born and raised in Japan.  Through her journey of Perinatal Mood Disorders and recovery, she found her callings; to serve other birthing families so they don't have to suffer like herself.  

She believes that with the right support, families can spend postpartum with peace and joy, focus on recovery, and build bonds.  In her spare time, she enjoys walking on trails with her dog, reading, and sewing.  Ikumi is dedicated to learn about birth related topics through reading and continual education classes.
